Mumbai T2, is one of the busiest International Airports in Asia with a huge daily footfall. Mumbai Duty-Free (MDF) has core duty-free shops located across the different terminals within the airport to ensure easy shopping and access to the shop floors.
MDF wanted to further enhance their outreach and the goal was to have a multi-channel presence for international travelers to shop duty-free products in accordance with their travel plans.
Every business has its own unique features & challenges. Our first step was to understand the business and brand objectives. We fortified that with extensive industry research and hand-crafted an innovative and tailor-made strategy to achieve the goal.
We created the MDF online platform, a seamless connection between their Shop floor stores and online store.The major challenge was seamless integration of shop floor promotions with the online pre-order system, to deliver the same offers to the customers pre-ordering products and giving them additional discounts for shopping.
The passengers could now simply buy their products online at the best prices and pick them up during their travel! The introduction of pre-order for international travelers not only provided the convenience that the travelers were looking for, but gave MDF a significant revenue boost that was driven through online sales.
